RIP Dan O'Bannon
The great Dan O’Bannon died yesterday. Not only did he write the sci-fi movie classic Alien but the comic classic The Long Tomorrow drawn by Moebius. Read the whole thing here.

What I'm Reading...
Found this run of Thor on torrent a couple of days ago. I’m way late to the party but man is it good. Thor is reborn, recreates Asgard in Oklahoma, then while sitting alone on a throne talks about how lonely it is without his friends. I love monthly comics and all but reading stuff like this straight through really makes a good case for trades. Maybe this whole Siege thing will be good?

Just in case you missed it...
Last week on comicsforserious.com we highlighted Marian Churchland’s Beast. In case you missed it: Stuff Around Your Toilet Bowl (Brandon) Carrara Marble (Karen) King City #3 Cover (Brandon) Realism versus Expressionism (ME) It’s a really solid work and definitely worth reading and worthy of the subject of four essays.
